The mother is Polly and the father is Roger, and Sunny has four siblings, the youngest being Dante LEV E1·01:03:41 LEV E1·01:05:29 LEV E1·01:06:00. Brennan describes them as a family of honest sailors, with a big symbol of Sol the sun god on the wall and no hooks, pirates or treasure to be found LEV E1·01:01:42. They sing a morning round, "Begin each day with joyful hearts" LEV E1·01:03:19. Polly says she is "so dang proud" of Sunny's missionary work LEV E1·01:06:24.
