Scratch is first named in a Sending from Gwyndolin to BINX, which ends "Scratch sends his best and asks for more invocations. Love, Gwyndolin." CFF E6·00:41:09 BINX replies in writing, asking Gwyndolin to let Scratch know "he needs more experience for me to give him anything else" CFF E6·00:41:58.

At the ball in the seventh episode BINX tastes a fizzing bitterness that Aabria calls the call of one of her warlocks, and from a bathroom she opens her magnifying glass to find Scratch, an ochre-colored Kobold CFF E7·01:37:06 CFF E7·01:37:59 CFF E7·01:38:05. He says "I just wanted to check in. It's been a while.", then shows swirling darkness devastating a hamlet and says an invisible stalker is killing everyone and he has burned a spell slot CFF E7·01:38:24 CFF E7·01:38:35 CFF E7·01:38:59 CFF E7·01:39:17.
